As the rebels rode on, dawn came. They were out of the area now, therefore out of the threat of family. However they were still in danger of other towns and the army bases there. They stopped for water. Luthando approached Niamh.

‘Niamh, if we… if we make it to Wales, will you… marry me?’


In three days, they made it to the border, and were over, into the hills.
