"The peasants bit, I thought you meant the Jack, for some ridiculous and lazy reason. And the clue: 'raised by the king' I thought you meant that the king is higher than I. It all fits together when you read it through again!!"
"Don't worry Rachel, there are more such nine letter words if you want to try. This is a rather popular puzzle, I think, and although "startling" is generally considered the answer, there are other similar words as well ! See if you can get them (without googling)!"
"Me either to be honest with you, I guess I just have puzzles on the brain from going crazy trying to figure Rac7hel's out. Especially with all the clues she gave me, I felt like an idiot for not figuring it out..ah well. Sorry for stealing your thunder.."
"You're right Taylos! It's 'startling'. I can't believe you got it so quickly! I was hoping that it would be brooded over for at least a few days. Oh well!"
Remove the L = starting Remove the T = staring Remove the a = string Remove the r = sting Remove the t = sing Remove the g = sin Remove the s = in Remove the n = I"
"Damn! I was close to saying "un" or "im", but stuck with "non"! "I'm put together" - makes sense now! Good one! Good work, Mararedhead!
Although I think the site should be more for stories and poetries rather than hundreds of short one-line branches on riddles, here is a thought - How about mixing riddles in a story? Like Da Vinci Code, Angels and Demons, Riddler in Batman etc? Guess it right and you're closer to finding the treasure (or saving someone). Guess it wrong, and you're farther away from it, or something bad happens..? Too complicated? Not sure how that will work, though.."
"Just a guess but is it "im"? or I'm? Usually "im" in front of a word negates the word. In hebrew, "im" can make a word plural. And I and am put together is Im (or I'm)."
"All right, you seem to have confused everyone with this riddle! And now this Hebrew is making it worse!
As soon as I saw this, I was convinced that it was 0!
Probably it is a symbol? "-"? "~"?
Put in the front: could be construed a "not". (or not?!) Put together, a hyphen can be used to glue two words together??? (but you said "I am put together" not "used to put things together") !"
"nope... think about it a LITTLE more. Every line makes sense, I promise. The hebrew thing has to mean that it's "many"... and in the front, it has to be "not".
"hahaha maybe. I don't know. No one has ever gotten this right yet. You want another hint? The answer is not very many letters long. Not very many at all..."
"Rac7hel your clues are more confusing than your riddle..lol
the second line has to do with hebrew forget the second line.. gahhh LOL I am going to slap my head really hard followed very closely by a very loud "DOH !" when I finally find out the answer aren't I"
"okay that makes sense, I didn't think of bugs and stuff. I guess I was imagining a dead person in a coffin, which would not be full of life nor would it give back to nature. So... maybe a "dead animal" would be a more direct answer... :/
Before I read your answer I was thinking a coral reef. Not alive but full of life... past and present... still gives to the fish and whatnot. It's over the ground but under the water, and it just might be green"
If you're in the front (on stage) you're not in the audience. If you put "audience" at the end of a word, "movie audience" it means many people. and an audience is many people together.
"Ah, yes that's a much better idea. Just post our guesses under whatever chapter it's for. Then we can just post riddle after riddle without having to go through a million branches of nothing to find the next one."
"We should probably just post our guesses as comments... It would be easier to follow, plus we don't need to screw up the ranking system by making thirty individual branches just trying to guess a riddle."
"Er, I think it might be best for everyone to just not rate this 'story' as it's not really a story and its sort of difficult to rate a riddle as spectacular or not (especially when you don't know the answer, as Rachel has said).
"hey you're right... that word is used to describe anything with that shape, like a contact. Also the cartilage between joints. Damn, if only it couldn't be drunk, it would be an appropriate answer."
"meniscus... you know, the very surface of the water. It certainly wouldn't sink but it could be drunk. I don't think eyes have anything like it though..."
"I had written out all the possible letters for each position in the word and was looking forward to figuring out the puzzle... but then I read the last line and it was obviously teacher. Maybe it would have been a better challenge to say "I'm in the classroom" and leave it at that. Or something else that's a hint but not a giveaway..."

"im" as in impossible, imperfect
cherubim, elohim = plural
and "I'm"
very good!
So now... what do you guys think of the riddle?"
It can't be a word by itself and has to be put together.
Maybe in Hebrew, a word ending with "non" means many?"
As soon as I saw this, I was convinced that it was 0!
Probably it is a symbol? "-"? "~"?
Put in the front: could be construed a "not". (or not?!)
Put together, a hyphen can be used to glue two words together??? (but you said "I am put together" not "used to put things together") !"
Big hint: the answer by itself is not a word"
with I at the end is Ami a popular hebrew name"
the second line has to do with hebrew
forget the second line..
gahhh
LOL

and yes you are correct, told you it was easy"
The third line is tricky... try to read it in as many different ways as possible.
Maybe that helps?? :/"
but if you're drunk - i guess your reflection is drunk? lol lol"

and an audience is many people together.
(probably wrong. there's no Hebrew in there)"
It's just for some silly riddle fun!!"
