Alicia and Alice Stevens are back.
Everything is about to change. (cue dramatic music!)
"Don't worry," The eight year old, red-headed girl whispered in his ear.
"I'll be back. We both will. And when we are..."
She paused, creating suspense, suspense that she knew he hated. She was toying with him. She didn't want to let him see her cry. Not now...Not ever.
"...I'm gonna be standing right here, waiting for you." Her un-natural emerald green eyes sparkled in the sunlight, her eyes darting left and right, as if she was trying to read his mind. Wondering if he was gonna miss her as much as she will miss him.
He knew that look. She was about to cry.
Tears were running down his cheeks, like a rushing river, the white of his brown eyes rimmed with red.
"Promise?" he whimpered.
"Promise." She sounded so confident, so sure that they would meet again, that he started to bawl once more. He was gonna miss her confidence and even her arrogance. They hugged again, all 4 of them, and then, they were ushered into the cab by their mom, waved one last goodbye and were off.
He looked at his brother with worried eyes.
"Were not gonna see them again...Are we?" His brother looked at him with such sadness, the little boy just wanted to crawl in a hole and die.
