Alex finally got offstage, and took me to one side. He kissed me his fingers trailing across my cheek, and bare arms, leaving shivers behind. He smiled, pulling away, not noticing me pull a aface at him. He was looking over to Callum serving people, while Luna sat on the bar, with Demons crowded round her. I couldn't help but find that funny. Some demons...
"Well, everybody, its time to shut up! Have a great night, and I'll see all of you back here tomorrow!" Alex shouted, grinning. I laughed at the typical reaction from the pthers in the club. Alex locked the door after most of them had gone, so Crimson, Luna, Callum, Alex and I were the only ones left.
"Well, I think that went pretty well!" giggled Luna, who was sat on Callum's knee on the bar. Crimson wooped, but even I caught the slight forced note of it. I hoped she found someone soon. I slid onto Alex's lap and he put his arms around my waist. I leaned back, happy for now.
"We're going back to the apartment, can you handle the rest?" she asked, not looking directly at either me and Alex or Luna and Callum. I felt Alex nod behind me, and they left, Luna throwing the keys to us. The place was oretty much spotless. I helped clean the windows and out a few chairs back into place. Then Alex sat back down, pulling me back onto his lap. Secretly, I kind of liked it when he did that.
"I got something for you...well, Lucifer got it for me, to give it to my true love." He was saying, rather sheepishly. I turned to look at him. He was fumbling with a small black velvet box. He finally opened the box, revealing a stunning pendant. It was a silver oval, with golden leaves round the edge. After a brief moment, he fastened the glittering chain around my neck. I opened it, to see the picture of us we had taken. I smiled, feeling a warm glow of happiness spread through me. I pulled him in for a kiss. He pulled away smiling.
"As I said earlier, veryy good." I couldn't help a giggle escaping.
He shook his head with a cheeky smile that made my heart flip over.
"Noooo, very great, fantastic, superb, top nosh, what ever." He laughed. I rolled my eyes, and he kissed me again. We then stood up, and both left, locking up behind us, and heading back to Luna and Alex's apartment. The whole way back, I kept touching the pendant lightly.
'Lucifer got it for me, to give to my true love.' Alex's words echoed over and over in my head. True love.
Just as we got to the door, I pulled Alex into a separate doorway, kissing him passionately. I didn't want to leave him in any doubt of how I felt about him. I trailed my hands lightly down his chest, feeling his muscles flex under the thin fabric of his shirt. I wrapped my arms around his waist, pulling his as close as I could to me, so that we were touching the length of our bodies. Eventually, we broke apart. We were both grinning.
"What was that for?" he asked, slightly out of breath.
"Do I need a reason?" I said, also slightly breathless, and then laughed at his expression.
"Hmm," he purred, trailing his lips over my jawline and down my neck. "I like your reasoning." He kissed the hollow of my neck before pulling away again. "We should go."
He slid his arm around me as we went back to the door. Alex reached out to unlock it, but as his hand touched the door, it swung inwards of its own accord. I instantly went on alert, my hand flying to the dagger I always carried.
The lock had been broken and everything inside was silent.
