Sleep in darkness surrounded by dead goblins

After removing the last of the leeches from your toes you finally start to drift off to sleep, but while you are in that state of sub-concious awareness you hear a rustling in the bushes beside you. You immediately sit up, with a look in your eye of something indescribable, is it sleep, is it fear, is it anger, or is it a mixture of the both. Whatever it is, the rustling stops immediately, you grab your trusty axe and approach the bush with utmost precaution.

Out of the blue comes a screech so intense it shakes your very eardrums, Suddenly a large black object appears right in front of you, seemingly from nowhere, you are unsure whether this unexpected visitor is friend or foe.

do you cut this creature in two with your weapon

do you wait to see if this creature can benefit you in any way

or do you run full speed in the other direction

"the only thing i have to say that's bad about this story is that for most of the way there's only one path to pick, so that's why i have put in an extra one on the start and another one later on, because currently it's not pick-a-path, its decide to go this way or no way, or write a way, so that's why I'm encouraging all of you to write on different options, not just the same story the whole way through, make it so you can PICK out of a choice of paths, so please, write on different ones than everybody else, that's my rant over"

I'll put my hands up and say my biggest downfall is my grammar and I know my sentences have a tendency to run on. I'll do my best to remember where the commas should go and see if it works.
