"yeah Charles! Go get him!" Alice was at a jousting tournament instead of class. The crowd roared as Charles knocked his opponent of his horse for the fifth time in a row.
"ALICE!" The king's booming voice now drowned out the crowd's cheering. At the sight of the king, all activity ceased. Many people bowed down to the king.
"yes daddy?" Alice was not prepared for her father to come to get her. She had no explanation for doing exactly what her father commanded her not to.
"You deliberately disobeyed me." At this point the king looked around him. "Could you stop with the bowing? I'm trying to talk with my daughter here!" Everybody immediately stood up. "Come on Alice. It's time for class. What are you doing here anyways?"
"Watching Charles joust just like everybody else is."
"Why, not everybody is here." The king looked around and saw every female in the castle with all eyes on Charles, now moving on to his next opponent. There was quite an increasingly amount of males there too. "Ok, you win. Maybe everybody is here. You know what? Fine. you may stay until your sister leaves. Then you must make up for the classes you missed."
"Ok daddy. Thank you very much!" There was a hint of suspicion in her voice.
While walking away, the king was mumbling to his servants. "I sure hope that girl isn't up to something. You know what she's like, always getting into trouble. The king would never know it, but Alice was cooking up a plan to always watch jousting. Only the knights watch jousting for her classes. Now all that was stopping her from going through with her plan was the fact that only boys can be knights. And Alice was a girl.
