Ena didn't know they were there. She hadn't noticed them watching her for a long time. Perhaps, they'd liked what they'd seen and just waited to make a move on her till she was well enough away from any others that would come rescue her.
She didn't hear them behind her. And when she got to the car park, she continued to walk past, deciding to exit the campus of the school and take a bus from one of the stops nearby.
It wasn't that long of a walk. But it was the chilling silence that allowed Ena to hint that she wasn't alone. She was just entering one of the shortcuts that would help her reach her destination faster, a narrow alleyway shadowed by the two high walls on either side of it when she heard the steps.
They were soft, like the sound of a secretive wind. But Ena heard them. Whirling around in fear, she was face to face with the two boys from before.
"What are you-"
Before she could finish, one of them slammed her hard against the brick wall behind her, causing her skin to burn painfully. She attempted to scream but was silenced by a hand.
Terror sparked inside of her, causing her hands to shake as she swung them around, trying to strike back.
But it was pointless. This time, there was no Kai to help her.
