Standing up, she wobbled a little but leaned against the wall nearby for support. One of her hands clutched the back of her head, trying to stop the pounding of her wound that increased with each second.
Both boys, however, didn't pay any attention to Ena, leaning down with their hands on their knees, trying to catch their breaths. It would have been best for her to keep her mouth shut and just head for the first-aid office but instead, Ena stepped forward and smacked one of them hard across the back of his brown head.
His face snapped up to meet hers, distorting into one of fury as he stood up straight. "What the hell is your problem?" He snarled, looking her up and down in a way that made goosebumps rise across her skin.
"You and your idiot of a friend were the ones that hit me first. So I think an apology is in order," she snapped back.
The other boy straightened up, joining his friend as he shot her the most dirty look she'd received in her life. Maybe Ena should have thought things through as she started to take a few steps back. Both boys towered over her, and were clearly senior students of the school. But they weren't being all that pleasant at all.
