Disturbed, she hugged her knees to her chest, placing her feet on the surface of the plastic chair. Snuggling her face in for some comfort, she hid herself from view from the rest of the world. One of her hands lingered near her neck, making contact with the cool gold of her necklace.
Kai had been the one to bring it to her and yet she'd treated him badly, without much as a simple 'thank you'. The human side of her knew that she'd been all that grateful, like she should have. Ena cared for the necklace with her life and having so much value put forth into something she'd lost, she should have at least expressed her gratitude in some way. But she hadn't. Ena never did. It was as simple as that.
Sighing, she dropped her hand back to her side and looked up when she heard the sound of approaching footsteps. Curly brown hair and identically colored eyes, Marianne came into view. She gave a little wave at Ena who was as expressionless as could be.
What is she doing here?
Eyes going back to the field, she noticed that all her teammates were out of sight, the familiar bright color of their sports uniform no longer visible. The game had finished? Had they won?
