Sitting outside, I thought about all the things that I've been through in the past couple days. I stared out into the sunset that was fading into the horizon. I tucked my knees into my arms and folded my arms around my knees... you get it right? Well yeah.
All of this just seemed like a dream.. I mean seriously? I'm staying with people that are half human and half animal. I was just really confused, but the good thing is that whenever I tried to read the books that they had, my head hurt less, but that was probably the only good thing that was going on.
"Hey, I don't think I've seen you before, and you don't seem like a zodiac," a man that looked like he was in his thirties said to me, "What's your name?"
"Why do you want to know?" I asked as I broke his gaze, I stared back at the sunset, "Besides, I don't tell people my name unless I know they're name, so your pick. Either you tell me your name and then I'll tell you mine or don't ask at all," I really didn't care if that was offensive. I guess I wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone today.
"Okay, Ms. Attitude, I'm Tsolen," he sat beside me and smiled. He extended an arm, and I reluctantly shook it.
"Names Ashley, but call me Ash. That's what everyone here calls me except Keesa. She's mad," I stood up slowly and continued, "Ima go inside now. Bye," and I left with that.
I went to the kitchen and saw Sky with Criss. They were discussing something, but I really didn't care what right now. I walked into the room where Viper and Keesa were, and Tsolen, being the retard he was, followed me in. I saw Viper laying on a bed not too far from the door, and decided to talk to him.
I sat on the bed next to him and looked at his lip. Don't ask why I did... cause I don't even know why. His lips were dry, so I expected his mouth to be dry too. I reached for a water bottle by the little night stand at the foot of his bed. I unscrewed the top of the bottle and called out, "Viper?"
"Hm?" he said as his eyes fluttered open and I realized that blue eyes were really pretty, "Oh thanks. My mouth is dry," he smiled at me, and I took a peek behind me and saw Keesa's death glare again, but this time that guy... ummm.... Tolen? Token? Oh, yeah... Tsolen, was talking to her, but she seemed to be more focused on what I was doing.
Viper had chugged the entire bottle, and I asked, "Do you want some more? I could go get you some." I began to stand up, but Viper just got up with me.
"I need to get up and walk anyways," he stood up and started to walk behind me.
When we got to the kitchen Sky looked up at me then at Viper, but all I did was roll my eyes and said, "Can I go out for a walk?" I directed my question at Sky, and waited patiently for a response.
"Yeah, but I'd like someone to go with you. We don't know if Vladmire is still out there or not. Vipe? You wanna go with Ash?" she smiled that sweet smile that no one could resist.
"Yeah sure, why not?" he shrugged and grabbed his coat from the coat rack, "Okay! Let's go!" he said with great enthusiasm and pushed me towards the door.
We walked into the forest in peace and quiet and sat under a big tree that shaded us from the moon's light. Then we laid by each other and looked at the stars while Viper told me stories about them. I felt tired and decided to close my eyes for a minute. Just a minute, but I guess I ended up sleeping. I felt something warm being draped over me as I was being lifted from the ground. I felt the body that was carrying me and situated myself closer to him. I thought about the things that we did in that short amount of time, but I still smiled because I started thinking that.... we might have something going on, and with that thought I fell asleep at last.
