“It’s beautiful.” she said, staring out over the water.
“I thought you would like it.” he smiled at her.
“It’s so peaceful.” she sighed.
“Like you.”
“What?” she looked at him in confusion.
“The water is peaceful, like you.” he repeated.
“How am I peaceful?”
“You don’t do anything unexpected.” he said. “You’re always calm.”
“Really?”she asked.
“Not that it’s a bad thing.” he added quickly.
“Fine then.” she said and jumped off the dock.
He stood there in shock as she surfaced again.
“Still think I’m peaceful?” she asked him, smiling.
“No, I think you’re crazy.” he replied.
Then he jumped in after her.
