Part of Your World Parody

This is a parody of the song "Part of Your World" from Disney's The Little Mermaid. It's about how in my school's German class for freshmen, they never taught us anything, even though we actually wanted to learn for once.

Look at these kids, isn’t it cool?

Wouldn’t you think I’d hate being in school?

Wouldn’t you think I’m the frosh…

the frosh who has everything?

Look at this locker...

Homework untold...

How many books can one cubby hold?

Lookin’ around here you’d think,

Sure.

She’s got everything!

I’ve got pencils and rulers a-plenty!

I’ve got markers and binders galore!

You want dictionaries?

I’ve got twenty!

But who cares?

No big deal…

I want more!

I wanna be where the people are!

I wanna see, wanna see ‘em learning!

Solving around with those-

Whad'ya call 'em?

Oh right- calculators

Clicking your pen, you don’t get too far…

pencils are needed for reading, writing!

Strolling along down a- what’s that word again?- hall!

Up where they read

Up where they write

Up where they learn the meaning of dendrite!

Learning for free...

Wish I could be...

Part of that world!

What would I give, if I could get out of these classrooms?

What would I pay, to spend a day, in the library?

Bet’cha out there, they care!

Bet they don’t, ignore their students!

Bright young children, sick of failing, ready to learn!

And ready to know, what the teachers know!

Ask ‘em my questions, and get some answers!

What is a Schliessfach, and why does it-

what’s the word- lock?

Why do they mock?

Wouldn’t they love

Love to learn of that class up above

Learning is key…

Wish I could be…

Part of that world!

The End
