Absence and AnnoyanceMature

Dawn moved swiftly through the palace checking rooms and corridors as he passed.

“Dawn.” Lou called catching up to him. “He’s alright.”

“How do you know?” Dawn snapped

“My guards would have told me if he'd left the palace.” Dawn sighed and lit a cigarette.

“You think I'm being stupid, don’t you?”  Dawn looked at the ceiling, as Lou smiled.

“Guys,” Sylver called from the end of the corridor “he's in his room, what's all the fuss?”

“He wasn’t” Dawn growled as Sylver walked down towards him.

“Apparently he's been in the shower for the last half an hour.”

“I checked.” Dawn snarled, Lou looked at Sylver

“Is Gabriel telling the truth?” he asked

“From what I can tell.” Sylver shrugged.

Gabriel was quiet at dinner not even reacting as Dawn kept looking at him hoping to catch the vampyres attention. Gabriel lazily ran his claws down the neck of the black glass bottle not seeming to want the contents, his eyes were slightly glazed as he stared at the table.

“Gabriel?” Berith said leaning in close to him. “Can I check your chest later?” the vampyres head didn’t move but his blue eyes flicked up to look at her.

“I'm fine.” He muttered.
“I don’t doubt that.” Berith smiled “but I’d like to see, for my own piece of mind.”

Gabriel didn’t reply instead he stood and walked away leaving his bottle behind. Dawn looked at Berith in astonishment then moved to follow Gabriel Lou clapped a hand on his shoulder gently pushing him back into his seat as Sylver followed his brother out of the hall.

“Wait.” Sylver called ahead of him Gabriel stopped not turning. “What’s wrong?” Sylver asked as he caught up.

“nothing.” Gabriel frowned Sylver looked sceptical.
“Really?” he growled. “And why don’t I believe you?” Gabriel just looked at his twin for a moment.

“That’s your problem.” He said moving around Sylver he walked away.
