Gabriel looked down at the brown liquid in the mug in front of him, he'd tasted coffee before but now the smell was making him feel ill.
“There’s nothing wrong with it.” Sal said as she noticed him staring at the cup.
“Gabriel doest really drink coffee.” Dawn said.
“Oh,” Sal said “tea then?” Gabriel shook his head.
“he's a blood drinker.” Dawn said quickly.
“Oh, I see.” Sal said seeming relieved “I thought something was wrong. I’ll be back in a moment,” she vanished through a door at the side of the room.
“Try it.” Dawn said to Gabriel.
“No thanks” the vampyre said pushing the mug towards Dawn. “You have it.”
“I never turn a coffee down.” Dawn smiled.
Sal soon returned with a black glass bottle in her hand putting it down in front of Gabriel she smiled.
“There you are, luvvy” she said “you should have said something.” Gabriel frowned at the bottle.
“He says thanks.” Dawn laughed Gabriel could smell the open bottles contents. It was blood, human and warm.
“Where did you get this?” he asked.
“He speaks,” Sal smiled “and I have my ways.” Lou tutted and shook his head.
“We have other blood drinkers here,” he said “we also have humans living here too.”
“Humans?” Gabriel asked wondering why and how humans ever got to Hell.
“So,” Sal said “Gabriel, who are you?” the vampyre looked away as he wrapped his hands around the warm bottle.
“No one.” He muttered, Dawn growled.
“You are not no one.” He hissed.
“Gabriel and his brothers are staying at the palace for a while.” Lou said.
“Brothers.” Sal smiled slowly “you're Gabriel Black-Lightning.” She cried grinning widely. “I knew it.” Gabriel didn’t know what to say to this, he just looked at the oddly happy woman blankly.
“Gabriel doesn’t realize how far his influence spreads.” Lou said draining his coffee cup.
“What influence?” Gabriel snapped.
“That influence.” Sal laughed “more your reputation actually, you're quite well known here.”
“great.” Gabriel growled Sal smiled.
“It’s not a bad thing.” She said.
“You won’t convince him of that, Sal.” Lou said “anyway can I have a quick word before we go?”
Gabriel sat and watched the two daemons talk across the room even his hearing couldn’t make out what was being said and he grew more annoyed by the moment as Sal kept glancing over at him.
