Irritated ConversationsMature

Gabriel sat at the edge of the bubbling spring, unbuttoning the top of his shirt he looked down at the bleeding wound and growled in annoyance. Laying back he rested his head on his bag and closed his eyes.

Dawn stood just inside the mouth of the cave watching the vampyre he sighed knowing from past experience that the vampyre was closing himself down again.

Dawn took a breath and it caught in his chest sending stabbing pains into his left lung. He let the breath out slowly and walked to the pool. Awkwardly he sat down beside the water and looked up at the rocky ceiling.

“We’re almost ready to leave.” He said trying to sound casual, Gabriel's eyes opened slightly.

“okay.” he said quietly Dawn looked down at him, noting the dark stain down the black shirt.

“sweetie.” Dawn said cautiously. “Can I see?”

“no.” Gabriel growled turning his head away he closed his eyes again “and don’t call me that.”

“Gabriel,” Dawn said laying down beside the vampyre.

“What?” came the snarl.

“When we get to Hell please don’t wander off alone.” The vampyre sat up and stared at him.

“What?” he snapped.

“Its not a safe place,” Dawn sat up too. “its probably worse now.”

“I can…”

“I know you can take care of yourself.” Dawn snarled then he sighed “I just worry.”

“The day you stop worrying I’ll be in a box.” Gabriel said.

“That’s what worries me.” Dawn smiled at him.

“Come on boys.” Berith called “we’re leaving early.” Gabriel stood and looked at Dawn then without a word he offered a hand helping the daemon to his feet.
