I heard a cough, which made me look away from Kira. The man was still stood there. What was his name again?
"Well, Kira, I must be going. This has been... interesting. Now we know that your a combat, there's nothing else to do, but train more. That can wait though, as I see your...occupied." he said. He looked at me, questioningly. I hoped he hadn't noticed the way I was looking at her.
He walked out of the room, leaving us alone and as he passed me, the air blew on my face, making me sway. This cut had really taken it out of me.
"I think you'd best sit down, you look a bit pale." She said to me. We sat down on the window ledge, while she tried to clean my wound with her tissue. Her face was scrunched up in concentration, and her teeth were softly biting her bottom lip. I noticed that she wore no make up, which made me smile.
"What are you smiling at?" she said, looking at me.
"Nothing, nothing." I replied, quickly. This seemed to make her laugh, which then set me off. Her laugh was beautiful and so addictive. I couldn't stop myself, which seemed to only make her worse.
"What are you laughing at?" I asked her, grinning.
"I don't know." This seemed to only set us off again.
After we had calmed down, she looked back at my cut.
"It's stopped bleeding at last."
"Because I had such good help." I said to her. She blushed, and butterflies formed in my stomach. I wanted to lean over, and stroke her smooth skin. I wanted to brush my fingers through her silky hair, and breathe in her gentle smell.
"What are you staring at?" she asked me searchingly. I hadn't noticed I had been staring again. I had to stop doing that.
"You. You look so beautiful when you blush." I could feel the blood rising to my cheeks. Did I really just say that?
"Th-thanks." she stammered. Oh no. I'd just made this conversation awkward. She obviously didn't like me like that. She was so breath-taking, she went for people like... people like Liam. Not people like me.
"Sorry, I... " I tried to apoligize, but I was aware that I was sounding silly.
"Don't be, you - Don't move." she said suddenly. I tried to turn round, to see what she was looking at, but she grabbed me.
"Stay. Absolutely. Still." she said slowly.
"What is it?" I asked her, beginning to panic. I looked around, and on the wall behind me was a huge, hairy, spider. If there was one thing I hated the most, it was be spiders. Completely forgetting that I was in the presence of a girl - and a girl I liked at that- I jumped forward quickly, yelling. I banged into her, and we both fell to the floor, with me on top of her.. I had never been so embarrassed in my life.
"I guess you don't like spiders." She said smiling, her face inches from mine.
"No. Sorry about that." I could feel her breathe on my face, and her eyes were gleaming. I couldn't take my eyes from her.
"You can... get of me now." she said to me. I jumped up, embarrassed.
"Erm..." I didn't know what to say.
"Don't worry. I won't tell any one you screamed like a girl, at a spider." This seemed to set her of laughing again, and once again I followed suit.
