"Joseph. Everyone calls me Joe."
You are a little startled when he speaks; you realize you had been expecting him to say 'Nick', without a doubt.
"Good to meet you, Joe." You offer your hand; Joe takes it warmly.
"So, has any of this helped?" Joe smiles at you, as if expecting you to dismiss it all as nonsense.
"Yes, I think it has." You stare at the cards one more time, your gaze lingering on the Ten of Swords.
"You don't seem convinced." Joe offers, more seriously now.
Finally, you cave a little under the temptation of explaining the whole thing to him, just for the luxury of a second opinion. "To tell you the truth, I'm more confused now than before. The cards did help but now I find myself wondering...which should I trust? Your word, or the word of...someone else?"
Both you and Joe sit and ponder the open question for a moment or two. Joe speaks first. "Let me put it to you this way; we've just met; I have no reason to lie to you. Can you say the same for the other individual?"
He had a strong point but it didn't help in relieving any of your confusion.
This man might be able to help me, but he's not Dias and I can't really be sure if I can trust him. Then again, you think, the same could be said about Dias as well.
You look up to see Joe staring at you a little oddly, as if trying to read the internal battle going on inside your mind. Finally, you decide; you will ask him for help.
"Joe, I'm wondering if you might be able to help me." You pause, formulating the right words. You continue slowly. "Do you know anything about....?"
