I slamed the door shut as I got home, and ran into the bedroom. I had exactly 3 hours to decide what to wear. After about an hour of laying on my bed starring at my closet I decided to get up and look. I thought for a while then grabbed half the stuff out of the middle of the closet and threw it on the floor. I dug through the back of my closet until I found what I was looking for. A small Nike shoe box labeled "forgotten memories." I dug inside through old barbie clothes and various cds, and pulled out a silver picture frame. In it was the picture my mother took of Andrew and I the day I left. I got up off my knees, and dug through my wardrobe to find an outfit similar to the one I was wearing in the picture. After throwing on a pair of jeans and finding a jacket I hadn't seen in ages with a simalar pattern, I realized I still had an hour before I had to leave. I put my Ipod into my speakers and sat on my bed.
♫The stars lean down to kiss you. As I lie awake and miss you. Pour me a hea-"
I changed the song as fast as it came on.
♫I always needed time on my own. I never thought I'd need you there when I cried.♫
I turned off my Ipod and threw it against the wall. Why must Ipod shuffle know my life story?
I watched the clock hit 6:30. I stepped onto the sidewalk and got into my Mini Coop.
Attleboro Road was on the outskirts of town. Though I knew where it was I hadn't been their since I was six. I pulled up beside a small, worndown, white house. As directed by the note, I walked into the backyard and climbed up into the tree house my father built for me before the divorce. I looked around at the half-rotted, yet steardy wood, the cobwebs in the corner, and a small white teapot, yellowed with age, that sat at a small wood table in the middle.
I heard the floor board creak behind me. I turned around to see Andrew there with a half smirk on his face. I took a step toward him.
"I didn't expect you to come, but I'm glad you did." He said staring at his feet.
"Yeah, well I decided it was somone else's day to be a bitch." I replied with a sigh.
"So why did you want me too come here?" I asked not knowing the answer myself.
"To remind you." He explained." Sit down this could take a while."
