Chapter Six

“I missed you,” your voice says as you emerge out of the shadows, and rush out of the forest to greet me. I don’t know what to say, so I let you hug me. “What’s wrong?” you ask, holding me by my shoulders in front of you.

“Nothing,” I say quickly and honestly.

“Where would you like to do today?” you ask, brushing my bangs out of my eyes.

“You mean I can choose?”

You nod, but as my mouth opens to say my answer, your brow furrows, and I wake up again.
