Zak and Flo seemed a little shocked that I was moving out and that I had found somewhere else to stay. Not terribly surprising really since they knew about me. About Richard. I knocked on Bai's door and waited for him to let me in, a wide smile across my face.
"Boo!" I yelled as he let me in, dropping my bag for him to bring in.
"You know where everything is." He murmured to me, struggling with my stuff slightly.
"I may have done something stupid." I opened my mouth and let the words pour out before I really thought about it.
"What?" He was up in my face, holding me gently.
"I told Zak and Flo that I was here. They know Rich." He looked at me blankly. "My husband."
He let go of me and stepped back slightly. "Will they tell him?"
"Not sure." I answered, stepping towards him. I kissed him gently on the cheek and nuzzled into his neck.
"Then we won't worry about it." He talked softly, stroking my hair. "Can I get you anything?"
We sat and drank a glass of wine each, just chatting. I could sense that he was holding something back but I was reluctant to pry. He seemed like a nice guy and he had treated me really well so if he wanted to keep a couple of secrets then who was I to query that?
We spent the afternoon getting to know each other better over a couple of bottles of wine. He was clearly better at drinking than me but I kept my dignity and wasn't sick. Much.
"Fancy going out for a meal? I'm not much of a cook." He looked cute as he asked, offering me his hand to help me up.
"I'd love that. Let me get changed. I'll wear something a bit more grand." I smiled, grabbing my bag and taking it into the bedroom. I sifted through my stuff, picking a lovely summer dress that I thought he would appreciate. I had started to get changed when he came in, looking for clothes for himself.
"Excuse me, but I am getting changed in here." I faked annoyance, hoping that he would understand. He stepped behind me, placing his head into my neck.
"And?" He whispered seductively, kissing me.
A little while later, we both climbed out of the bed, a wide smile on both of our faces.
"Hurry up! " He said jokingly as he grabbed his clothes and moved into the bathroom, closing the door behind him. I looked at my body and just smiled, reaching for the dress.
"Change can be scary." I mumbled to myself. "But this is good."
