Winter

Winter.

WINter. Yes, there is a sense of victory in Winter.  Victory of the cold over the warm.  Victory of white and grey over colour.  Victory of death over life.

WinTER.  Who put the TER in Winter?  Someone who felt the TERror of the season?  Or sighed at the TERmination of green?

Winter.

I like the word best all together.  That way it speaks of red cheeks and cold noses. Frozen sculptures and crackling fires.  It speaks of thunderstorms coming to children who rarely see rain and rush to put on yellow rubber boots.

Winter.
