Bought and Broken

You break it, you buy it.

That's what they always say. To render something un-sellable renders it sold, and it's and irony.

But it isn't always true, as much as I would love it to be. Wouldn't that be so much easier, having the ability to buy anything simply by breaking it.

Some things, though, can't be bought, no matter how broken they are. Certain things I have held so tight, longed for to such the great degree, that I have broken in my haste to achieve them.

I broke it, now why can't I buy it back?
