The Kiss 3

At the end of a country road, it is late.  Crickets sing, keeping beat to the stars like gears within the watch the boy is wearing.  The  watch says, 10:30pm, late for a school night, but they have no school tomorrow.  It's summer time.  Tomorrow, their parents will ask how the movie was, but there is no movie tonight.  Instead, they sit looking out  the windshield at silhouttes against a dark sky.  Intent on the sound of their rapid heartbeats, they are shy again.  Finally, he turns his head, and amidst fumbling hands, a kiss  teeming with anticipation.
