On the Other Side of the Hill

Recommend

My legs felt tired of walking. I wanted to stop, but they wouldn't let me. We were to get to the other side of the hill as quickly as we could; and that meant that there was no stopping whatsoever. I didn't know what was going to happen once we got to the other side of the hill. They didn't tell us. All they told us was that we had to run as fast as we could to the other side if we wanted to live. What made the other side safer than this side--I didn't know. But I did know that it was safer. I did know that the people who told us to run here were people we could trust. And I knew that the people who were after us were evil.
