Non-starter

I am through with this.
I have had enough.
Miracles happen every day
just not to us.

When we're apart
You're all I think about.
When we're together
I'm looking for ways to get out.

Let's just call it quits.
This just isn't fun.
You took from me, I took from you,
but what's done is done.

This thing between us,
it isn't love; forget what I said.
It's just a lie of convenience;
it's better off dead.

It turns out you're not the one
I wanted you to be.
You'd rather complain and play games
and re-live history.
