Nights Under The Stars

For anyone who ever recalls back to days out with their friends, the days of being happy, blissfully ignorant of the horrors of the world and living carefree

I remember easier times

No commitments and the whole world to roam

No dark souls refusing to let go

We sang and we ran through city streets

When the sun warmed us through

Before the world's calamities turned it bleak

The ghosts of those days

But now I feel so afraid

We slept underneath the stars

Those days seem so far

I remember the days we left behind

I remember the tears, welling up inside

I think of her and I smile to myself

I loved her more then, than anyone else

I remember those better times

Just exploration of this playground of ours

I remember how we laughed away the hours

We danced and we kissed on the fields

It seemed if the world ever broke my heart

A kiss from you and all would be healed

I remember the days we left behind

I remember the tears, welling up inside

I think of her and I smile to myself

I loved her more then, than anyone else

Echoes and ghosts

and the end of this life is drawing closer

I don't want this illusion to end

whiskey, dancing flames of the fire

her heartbeat racing with love-drunk desire

And how when she left I used to fantasise

I remember the days we left behind

I remember the tears, welling up inside

I think of her and I smile to myself

I loved her more then, than anyone else

The End
