Cyrus closed the door behind them. Robyn sat at his desk and laced her fingers around her knee. "Well?" asked Cyrus flatly. Robyn looked down, took a deep breath and began.

"It was about 5 years before I joined the Night Raiders and moved to Midnight Island. I was attending a private boarding school called Saturn Academy, in New York. Of course I was already well aware of who I am, the daughter of Hades. But Shadoe didn't. Well, her actual name was Samantha Blaze. She wasn't very popular at Saturn Academy, and i think that really got to her and made her sway towards Kyos."

Cyrus nodded for her to continue, but it was getting more and more painful to talk about for Robyn. "Well, Shadoe was about 14, same age as me, when her powers really started kicking in and monsters became much more frequent. She started missing school, hanging out with the wrong crowds and becoming far more cranky and irritable, often snapping at me and anyone else who tried to help."

Something gleaming in the corner of the office made Robyn hesitate. It was a picture of a young girl who was made 4 or 5 years old, with wavy brown hair and brown eyes to match her beautiful smile. The little girl looked exactly like Shadoe when she was little. but Cyrus couldn't have known Shadoe, he was still in Midnight Island when Shadoe was 5. Cyrus pushed the frame down so Robyn couldn't see the picture and cleared is throat nervously "Please, Continue."

"Well, it was the 2nd last day of the school year. Shadoe had already been in trouble with just about every teacher for her now rude attitude and gothic look. We were in sport when she finally broke. Our sports teacher had asked been pestering her for the entire lesson why she was too lazy to change into her PE uniform and participate and she just lost control. the entire school just exploded-" Robyn snapped her fingers "-like that, and everyone just ran. iin te commotion, Kyos appeared and he must've said something telepathically, because Shadoe just got up and started heading towards him. she grasped his hand and he led her away. I didn't see her again until 3 years later when she tried to kill me and I pushed her into Tartarus."

Robyn hadn't ever told that story before, but somehow she just couldn't hide anything from Cyrus, he always found out sooner or later. But Cyrus looked close to tears now, like he couldn't believe the story even after all the Night Raiders had been through.

"Leave me - I - I - need to think" stammered Cyrus, looking away as if to hide his exprssion. Robyn didn't know or understand what was going on in Cyrus' head, but she was certain that this was not the time to ask.
