She sent me to bed without a word. That is really strange for her. I woke up this morning to find the house spotless. It must have taken her all night to clean, but she was dressed and making breakfast, with no signs that she was tiered. I guess I better get this over with........
"Umm? Hey mom. What are you thinking about, are you okay?" I gotta do this really hesitantly. "I'm reeeeaaaaallly sorry about last night, I-" she turned to look at me, and was smiling.
" I guess your worried about my reaction, aren't you, Madison? Well I'm not mad. What I mean is that yes, I am disappointed, but I expected this sooner or later. I understand that you are a teenager, you need your space, and freedom. Don't you know that this is exactly what I did when I was younger? You remind me of when I was a teen. I made a lot of mistakes, and I just want whats best for you. I don't want you to make the same mistakes I did. I was 19 when I got pregnant with you. Your dad just walked out when I told him. I want you to have a better life than I did. Your punishment is that your grounded for a week. That seems fair enough. Go get ready to go."
WOW! I was expecting like, 1000 times worse. "Okaaay. Where are we going?"
"I'm going to take you somewhere special. Your grounding starts on Monday. Now go on. Go get dressed."
This is really creepy. Usually she's not this understanding. this must be really hard for her. Only a weeks worth of grounding. I can't believe this!!!!!!! Wha-hooo!!!!
