Crack or no crack, you have to see how’s this going to turn out. "Gee, I bet I fell asleep reading again and any time now I’ll spring awake" – you think to yourself. Be as it might, a break from the mundane is waaaay overdue. Might as well roll with it for a bit.

You follow the eyes to the back of the store ("Or am I following their gaze?" you chuckle quietly). The chuckle disappears in a hurry when the curtain is quietly pulled away in front of you, and you see a row of – dolls? bodies? motionless against the wall.

You swallow audibly. "What are…these?"
