A shadow falls across the half-filled page in front of her; the shadows boil as a breeze catches the candle flame, air stirred by a falling arm and a blades edge. Death arrived seconds later; the final breath etched in a fine fanning of blood that stained the page were it connected, blood covering the keys and dripping in to the heart of the machine.
