Roy was inside the lab with the scientists. He had taken on the form of a mist, and he had settled in the ventilation system to watch what was going on below him.

What he saw and heard scared the crap out of him!  Bailey had collected several vials of enhanced DNA serum, and he intended to inject himself with all of it!

Sonia was just outside the lab door, where Roy informed her of what was going on. She had used her mind control powers to convince everyone she encountered that she was one of the scientists.

Patrick stayed outside while his mind probed the computers and security systems to allow Sonia access to the lab where the scientists were.

Patrick wanted to go inside with Sonia, but he was talked out of it by Nigel.

"You'll have to be our back up Patrick, You have to be out here in a safe place where you can lock doors behind Sonia. She's the only one who can't turn into a mist to escape."

Patrick reluctantly agreed to Nigel's  logic.  All of the Protectors at the institution got Roy's message at the same time.

Patrick opened the lab door for Sonia, using his ability to manipulate computer controlled doors. She came running into the room and grabbed a handful of enhanced DNA vials. Bailey was already injecting a vial into his veins.

The four other scientists tried to stop her, but she turned and stared at them. They immediately walked calmly into a storage room just off of the lab.

Patrick was watching everything with his mind as his body sat in his van outside the institution. When the scientists walked into storage room, he manipulated the lock so that their magnetic keys couldn't open it.

He blocked the signals on their cell phones until the Protectors were safely away. While Sonia's mind was otherwise occupied, Bailey was still plugging vials of enhanced DNA into the shunt in his vein.

Roy came down out of the vent as a mist, and materialized in front of Bailey. He grabbed Bailey's hand and pulled the syringe out of it. He sidestepped just in time as Bailey's fist made a jab at his face.

The vial of DNA that was still attached to the shunt fell off, and splattered blood and serum on the floor.  Bailey stood still and calmed himself just long enough to concentrate his mind on becoming a mist.

One of the vials of serum he had injected came from the blood of Nigel and Jean. He slowly became a small cloud of mist, but not just any cloud of vapour. His mist was made up of Isophane, a strong anesthetic.

Roy and Sonia dropped to the floor in two sedated heaps.

Her name, personality, even her gender may change as she is being forced to remember things that she just doesn't want to remember. There is government, possibly RCMP involvement, trying to get at the truth of something she may or may not have witnessed. The only hard and fast rule, is that her basal personality is a woman named violet, who is under restraint in some sort of institution. She has amazing mental abilities that evil forces are trying to exploit, and there are more like her out there.
