My safe haven.

In her safe haven....

In her safe haven....

I sit alone here, I like it here too. Here I can be myself and no one can tell me otherwise, no one will know the secret behind it. I look around at the endless see of tall blades of grass. No dandelions, no weeds, no flowers, just grass.

The grass that holds her when when she's afraid, or sad....

I like the fireflies too, they are really cute. And then the grass gets shorter.

It's because the warmth fades and it just holds her up, shields her back from the mud below.....

The fireflies usually hide in the grass, sometimes they scare me and sometimes they hurt. I tried eating one once, they taste really salty. They aren't like the stars. The stars are sweet.

How I make a firefly:

First I cry a tear, always the left eye, because if I do it from the right, it won't work. Then that tear rolls down my cheeks, sprouts legs and wings and flies. It becomes a firefly. Then the rest of the tears that follow are always fireflies, but the first has to be from the left.

How I make a star:

I cry a tear from my right eye, because if I do it from the left, it won't work. It rolls down my cheek then floats in mid-air infront of me. Then it begins to shine, and spark. Suddenly it shoots up into the sky like a rocket, and it becomes a gem on the anti-gravity navy blue blanket. There's never any sun here, I don't like the sun, forever night. Forever clear, with an eternal full moon. The rest of the tears that follow are all stars, but the first has to be from the right.

There's a tree....

I like this tree, it's my best friend and the only tree here. I can always lean on it and it never falls over. It's old and wise, but it cannot speak. Though it still speaks to me, and we have lovely conversations. I don't have to say anything, we just talk.

I like this tree...it's my best friend... it gives the best hugs.

I lay my back against the tree and look at the sea of fireflies, and then at the stars, I just noticed something. There's more fireflies then stars...

The End
