Grace from a young age always loved babies. Even when she was one herself, she would ‘ooh’ and ‘ah’ over them just like the adults. Pre-school was her favorite grade because she was surrounded by little kids like herself, some of them much smaller so she could mother them while at school. For yearsGrace begged her mom and dad to have another a baby so she could help take care of it instead of being the baby of their family - having two older sisters.

When most of her friends started to get pregnant and start families, Grace wanted to do the same. Her fiancé and she at the time tried for months and months to have a baby. But no luck. Finally she went to see her doctor, wanting to know just why she wasn’t getting pregnant. That’s when she discovered that her body “could not produce mature eggs.” as the doctor put it. For a few months they tried medication, but it never worked.

After a year of trying and canceling the wedding due to the stress - she discovered that her fiancé had cheated on her with another women whom was now pregnant. At the age of 24, she left him and moved out to Miami to start a new life.

It’s been two years since she moved here and started to work at Vogue, quickly climbing her way up the ladder. Although her work life has blossomed beautifully, Grace has yet to open up to a man once more. Worried and scared that a man would never want to be with a women who could not give him a child - she rarely goes on dates and has distanced herself form the idea of ever being a mother herself.
