Nothing Is Wrong

“No.” I said clearly, “Nothing is wrong.” It was very difficult to keep my voice under control but I managed for a bit.

“Good.” Jason smiled and his hand found mine. Oh dammit, dammit, dammit. Now he’s touching me. What am I supposed to say?! I love Collin not you?! God, that would kill him.

“Um …” I started to say but stopped myself to get the sentence right in my head.

“What were you going to tell me, Allie?”

“I … I don’t know.” Then, I couldn’t help it. I freaked. I ripped my hand from Jason’s and fled the bench. I must have looked possessed or something. Great job, Allie.

Jason was too shocked to follow after me but I bet he wanted to. He was probably sitting on our bench, holding himself down while I’m running away, foaming at the mouth.

I groaned internally, dreading the next time I’ll see him. I went toward my alley to cry like a baby again but when I turned the corner, I froze.

Frozen like a statue while Collin walked up with a smirk on his face. Whoa, that’s just even better.

The End
