After it was all said and done, Mohinder’s eyes were just as wide as hers, having no idea what that was that just came out of him. After her inspection, all light slowly faded and he was left just as he was before the incident. Except now, he had just as many questions as she did… and a glorious pair of wings.
The way she backed up in fear and the way she looked at him did not go unnoticed, and Mohinder couldn’t help frowning. “I-I do not know. But please, do not be frightened.” Stepping closer, he reached out a hand to her. “I just want to protect you. I don’t know what is happening to me, but please, you are the only one I have right now.” Big brown eyes caught the flicker of the candles as his gaze held hers, asking for trust, asking for understanding.
As he awaited her reaction, the fluffy wings folded to his back, eventually fading as if going to another dimension. The idea of angel had crossed his mind as well, but that… that was ridiculous. That was scientifically impossible, in fact. Still, it was something he needed to consider if he was going to figure out what had just happened.
