Lost And Foundmature
*Arianna's P. O. V.*
"Alright we can test you now. Can you stand up?" The lanky doctor asked me. "I'm not an idiot of course I can stand up." I shouted fiercely. "O-okay." He mumbled. I stood up with ease, smiling impishly. I straightened myself out, stretching my arms and twisting my neck. "What now, doc?" I asked impatiently, eager to get this lame test over with. "Raise your arms straight out in front of your body, please." The doctor said nicely. I defied gravity and pulled up my arms, holding them just the way the doctor described. He pulled out a stopwatch and counted as the seconds ticked by. When I reached a minute, he told me my arms were perfectly fine. Just to prove I didn't want any more of this unnecessary test, I jumped around furiously. "Look, I don't need this test, I'm well able to walk and do things on my own, if not better. Can I just go?" I asked almost inaudibly. "If you can do all that jumping around, you must be fine...very well. Go on. If anything changes such as your eyesight or hearing, come on back."
I ran out the hospital doors, Jerricah calling to me begging me to wait for her. "What's the plan, Jer?" I asked nervously. "We go back to the forest. Knowing their sense of direction, or lack thereof, they are probably thinking they just got lost looking for your...corpse. They probably have no clue you escaped. There's no time to lose, Arianna. We need to hurry." She said sounding quite astute. "Well, let's get to it then." I replied nonchalantly, pretending as if I wasn't about to track down flesh and blood to stop them, however I possibly could.
We walked nonstop for about thirty minutes. I noticed Jerricah turn sharply to the right and I followed quickly, making sure I didn't fall behind. "The plan, we need to find an open place to lure them to. So there are witnesses if anything goes...badly. We won't kill unless we need to, it's a last resort sort of thing. Focus on everything, anything but dying. I will find someone whom you've never met before. He knows about what is going on. His name is Shawn. He'll help us. But first, the forest. I'm going to call Shawn. He'll be here in a matter of minutes, if that was what I truly needed." She paused. I took this opportunity to ask her the one question that now wandered the electrical streets of my brain. "Jerricah, who is Shawn?"
"Our brother."
