Snowballs

We ran outside and were immediately hit by at least ten snowballs. Me and Kay started making snowballs as fast as possible and chucking them at the Showgram Secondary School kids.

I crouched down and grabbed two handfuls of icy snow. I formed it into a ball shape, stood up, and whipped around. I ran into something and dropped my snowball.

"Oh, my God, I'm sorry," said an adorable boy. He had brown hair and clear blue eyes.

"Oh, no, it's my fault," I said, bending over to pick up my snow.

"Let me help you," the boy said. He crouched down. "I'm Elwood," he added.

"I'm Maylene," I told him. I looked up and saw that I was inches away from his beautiful face. It would be so easy to lean over and kiss him... wait, no! I didn't even know this guy. Yet, his eyes pulled me back in. "Call me May."

The boy stood up. "Nice to meet you May." He left and I realized that he had most of my snowball. Whatever, I thought. It's not like there's not plenty of snow.

Then I heard Kay's voice. "Who was that?' she asked, wiggling her eyebrows suggestively.

"Some guy," I answered quickly.

"A Showgram boy," she corrected. "What's his name?"

"Elwood." I blushed.

"That's a weird name," Kay said, wrinkling her nose.

I nodded. Just then, a snowball hit me in the back of the neck. The snow and ice started to slide down my back. I turned around and saw that Elwood had thrown it.

"Oh, it's on," I whispered, picking up a snowball.

The End
