We talked for a while, mainly about our families. But as we got to talk about ourselves, the conversation heated up a little. I asked him what he thought of me, to which he replied, “I think you’re beautiful, of course. But, you’re a wonderful musician and you have a great mind.” I smiled and he looked away from me, “you really are amazing.”
I moved a little closer to him and he grinned. “Can I embrace you, M-Melissa?” Wow, he wastes no time. Unlike me who dodges around everything. His blush, by now, had disappeared and now it was my turn. I gulped and nodded, my heart fluttering slightly as he closed the gap, his arms wrapping around my waist. I hesitated a little before hooking my arms round his.
Then he kissed my forehead, “you’re so beautiful. In every way,” he whispered and I smiled, I tried to reply, but it came out as a gargled mess. “What’s wrong?”
I sighed and gathered my thoughts and breath, moving back a little so he still embraced me but I could look into his eyes. “I can’t breathe, it’s nothing big.”
His eyes widened and he let go of me. “Sorry, I didn’t know I had such a tight grip.”
I shook my head softly, “that’s not what I meant. I meant you’re taking my breath away... with all your flattery and how close you’re holding me to your chest, it’s like everything in the world is gone.” I didn’t really think about what I said, it just happened.
Then he wrapped his arms around me again, pulling him close to his hard chest and I looked up to him with a soft smile. Then he moved so his face was close to mine, our lips inches away. My eyes simmered with the fire of passion and I just whispered, “Go on.” I urged as he gently pushed his lips onto mine, they were soft and warm and when he pulled away his eyes sparkled.
“I’ve been waiting for this, for years,” he whispered.
I nodded and leaned forward kissing him again, his lips getting hotter as he deepened the kiss a little. I allowed him to part my lips, twining his tongue around mine. My eyes closed in the sweet moment, my first proper kiss. Not whatever that was with Gabriel. I trembled slightly and he pulled away, looking at me as I smiled, my eyes still closed.
“You can open your eyes now,” he whispered softly, his hand on my cheek. I opened my eyes as he suggested and grinned foolishly.
“Wow,” I mumbled.
“Will you be mine, Melissa?” He asked and I nodded, how could I not? It was love at first sight. Compared to that moment with Gabriel, this was so much more.
“Of course, I’m yours.” I gasped, my breath still taken away by him.
