Okay, basically ... this is NOT the first chapter! It is pretending to be. If you want to know who Mai is, and believe me you do, or this won't make sense, read The Protagonize Bus. It's got a lot of chapters so if you want just to read about Mai, just read those by me (Delorfinde).

Okay, the idea is to continue on what happened to Mai after she left the Protagonize Bus, because I've become rather fond of her as a character and didn't really want to abandon her to her fate ...

If you are a heartless person who wants to spoil the plot of Mai's life, read World Domination Continues This Weekend. Actually, it's probably a good idea to do that before you post because although it will spoil the surprise it will also stop you from messing up the plot ... :o
