It was Tuesday, and Mabel and Edith had finally decided to have an excellent adventure. It was quite some time since they had even thought about such things and while they tried to decide what sort of place one goes to these days for excellent adventures, they thought they would put together a nice tea incase they got peckish later.
Mabel hunted out her large flowery handbag and blew the dust off. In went some marmite sandwiches with the crusts cut off, some lemon-yoghurt cake and two bottles of dandelion and burdock. They opened the door with some degree of apprehension, and peered down the cobbled street. Edith popped out her stockinged toe to test the temperature but, indeed, the weather was quite balmy so without further ado off they started.
Mabel and Edith didn't get very far before they were kidnapped by Welsh terrorists and taken to Rhyl, where they were held hostage at the Suncentre
