Well, you can guess what happened. Come on, I'll give you three guesses! No, not wishes - do I look like a pixie?
I mean, come on, how many kids with the sirname Raveus can there be at my school? And that brute'd been yelling it at the top of his lungs only minutes ago. It wasn't difficult to find out which boy I'd be going to Omega with.
I'm generally a bit shy when it comes to meeting new people, but I figured it'd be much easier to tackle this meeting now than when I'm surrounded by strangers at Omega. So I went up to him.
'Uh, hi,' I said nervously, perching on the seat beside him. He looked annoyed, as if I was breaking into some sacred reverie of his. 'I'm Kait. Kait Marshall. You're... Sky, right?'
He frowned a little. 'How do you know my name?'
'Oh, the principal just said we'd be... going to... Omega, is it?'
Immediately I had his attention. I wasn't quite sure if I liked that or not. I began to backtrack quickly, in case I'd made a spectacular blunder (and it wouldn't've been the first time, believe me). 'Uh, well, I might have got this wrong, I mean, I'm not a great one for remembering names, and, well, actually, I'm sure you're not the person I mean, so I'm really sorry for troubling you and everything...'
I needn't have troubled. Sky's face broke into a wide grin, and he said 'Of course! That's where I know you from!'
I think that's when I really started to like him. That's when we became friends.
