Braden is torn after the loss of his soul-mate, Luna. He can't seem to keep himself together without her. Even worse, he's begun to discover some very disturbing things about their hometown. Things that could put Luna in danger. He will do anything to keep her safe. But will she even hear him out?
BradLee: She seemed like such a sweet old lady. Who would ever believe that she was really a puppeteer?
MoonGrl: A puppeteer?
BradLee: A puppeteer.
MoonGrl: Is that supposed to scare me?
BradLee: It should. If you aren’t frightened, then you’re a fool.
MoonGrl: Oh really? A fool? It sounds to me like you’re the fool for believing whatever dumb story someone told you about that poor old woman. She lives all alone – her entire family’s dead – and yet people like you insist on bullying her. What did she ever do to you?
BradLee: That’s just the point. No one told me this story. I experienced it first-hand.
MoonGrl: Did you now?
MoonGrl: Like I’m going to believe that. I’m not stupid, you know.
BradLee: I know you’re not stupid. You’re the smartest person I know.
MoonGrl: If you really believed that, you wouldn’t be trying to trick me like this!
BradLee: I’m not trying to trick you! I’m trying to help you! You can’t go near her house anymore! Even if you have to walk all the way around the block to get home, you can’t go anywhere close to there!
MoonGrl: So that’s it then? You’re trying to make me walk farther to get home. Seems like a pretty sick ploy, coming from you of all people.
BradLee: Luna, you know I wish you didn’t have to walk home every day. Especially not through the part of town that you do. If you want a ride, my offer still stands.
MoonGrl: As if I would get into a car with you after what you did.
BradLee: How many times do I have to apologize?
MoonGrl: You can keep apologizing until the day you die. I won’t ever forgive you.
BradLee: If that’s the way you want to play it.
MoonGrl: I’m not “playing it” any way.
BradLee: You know I didn’t mean to.
MoonGrl: You can’t accidently kiss someone.
BradLee: She kissed me.
MoonGrl: Didn’t look that way from where I stood.
BradLee: Then maybe you should try standing somewhere else!
MoonGrl: That’s it. I didn’t come here to fight. I’m logging off.
BradLee: No! Don’t go! Luna, listen to me! You can’t go near that house.
MoonGrl: Can’t I?
BradLee: No! Luna! Just…wait and let me explain.
MoonGrl: Maybe tomorrow.
BradLee: Luna! It’s important!
MoonGrl has left the chat.
BradLee: Damn it!
