Lost to the worldmature
Footsteps echo behind me, but I don't stop running. After hearing the other screams, I don't want to know who the hell is following me. I just want to keep going. My lungs burn, and the footsteps get closer. My luck starts to kick in, and I trip. Of course. I try to get up to run, but he's already standing over me. The creeper is pinning me to the ground. My scream fills the air, but I only become another lost voice echoing through the hall. Eventually, all is quiet. And then I'm unconscious.
