Lost in Suburbia

It was with great fear and trepidation that I opened my eyes. I had awoken some time earlier (whether it was ten minutes or two hours it was impossible to know) to a cacophany of unpleasant sounds. There were sirens and alarms, lost amongst the confusing and oppressive din of humanity. One sound in particular stood out- the most hellish and vindictive whirrings of an automatic garage door opener.
