A twas the night before christmas parody :)
Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house,
A Sylvester was stirring, he was after a mouse.
He tiptoed past the chimney with care,
in hopes that the dog would not see him there.
Tweety was nestled all snug in his bed,
while visions of puddycats danced in his head.
And Granny in her ‘kerchief’ and Elmer in his cap,
had just settled their writers for a long winters nap.
When out on the set there arose such a clatter,
Elmer sprang from his bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window he flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.
The moon on the breast of the newly aired show,
gave the luster of the 30’s to the object below.
When, what to his wondering eyes should wave,
But a miniature sleigh, and eight tinny slaves.
With an odd little driver so lively and quick
Elmer knew in a moment it must be St. Nick.
More rapid then Porky, his coursers they came.
And whistled and shouted and called them by name!
“Now Daffy! Now Wile! Now Runner and Taz!
On Pépé! On Penelope! On Foghorn leghorn and Martien!
To the top of the charts! To the top of the wall!
Now dash away! Dash away! Dash away all!”
As anvils that before the catapult fly,
when met with an explosion, they mount to the sky.
So up to the house top the toons they flew,
with a sleigh full of toys, and Bugs Bunny too.
