I've been waitressing from the moment I finished college. I didn't really get good result apart from music. Music's always been a big part of my life and I've always wanted to be a singer. I was hoping to go to uni, but I didn't have enough money nor did I find the right university to go to. I'd ask my parents but they're dead. My mum died from cancer and my dad had a very serious car accident which killed him. So technically, it's just me.

Alex was my first and last. And I don't think I'll ever be able to love someone other than him. I was taking orders when suddenly, Trish, my boss comes running towards me, calling my name.
'Skye, please, you need to go up on stage and sing, the band that were supposed to be here got held up in traffic' she said. My grey eyes widened. No way. Sure I WANTED to be a singer but that didn't mean I wanted to do it now! However, I couldn't get a word in edge ways as Trish started pushing me towards the stage.
'Now please welcome, Skye Cassidy!' she said, whilst giving the mike to me. I looked out to the crowd, who were clapping. The lights were on me and due to the occasion they were red. All I could do is sing. So I started singing. Whatever came into my mind. And as I sang, I looked out into the audience who were nodding along. At one point, the door opened and in came a guy with brunette hair. He was quite good looking, and as I was singing, he kept smiling at me, as if he knew me...
