PROLOGUE

A secret experiment is about to take place at area 51. The experiment is being run by the pentagon. This experiment known as, A.C or animal control is designed to enhance animals, specifically dogs, and use them in wars all over the world. Little does the pentagon know how wrong the experiment is about to go. However, a scientist by the name of Dr. Jonah Harrison knows the dangers of altering nature but even so he is being forced to lead the experiment.

“We should stop while we still can general, you don’t understand, changing the genes and DNA structure of an animal is beyond our knowledge. In other words we have no way of knowing what will go wrong,” Explained Dr. Jonah.

Dr. Jonah tries to convince General O’Neal Hammond as they quickly walk down a large corridor. The general abruptly stops and Dr. Jonah clumsily bumps into the general and subsequently falls onto the floor. The papers in which the scientist was carrying flew out his hands and fell onto the ground. He quickly gets onto his knees and starts collecting the paper in which were scattered all over the floor. The general lends him a hand.

“Sorry Doc, I’m just following orders. The Pentagon controls this operation not me, remember? Besides, what could go wrong? Just get in there and do your thing,” the general answers.

The general stands and opens up the door, at the end of the corridor, for Dr. Jonah. After picking up the papers and organizing them he straightens up his glasses, salutes the general, and walks into the lab.

The doctor salutes the general. “Yes sir.”

Dr. Jonah steps through the door and enters the lab. The lab was massive and it contained over two dozen scientists, tons of expensive looking equipment and over a dozen large monitors. Two objects that stood out the most one was a large monitor displaying graphs and number, this was most likely the supercomputer. The other object was a large see through room in the shape of a cube. Inside the room were three animals, a large rat, a Baboon, and a Pitt bull terrier. The animals were noticeably unconscious. They had wires and tubes surrounding their bodies.

Other than that the lab seemed to be very lively. With all the scientists running around and shouting it would have made it almost impossible to hear yourself think. The general was obviously prepared for this. He quickly pulled out two ear buds and stuffed it into his ear.

“Does it always have to be this hectic?” the general complained.

“Sorry sir, everyone is just making some last minute preparations, it will simmer down here when we start,” the scientist answered.

Dr. Jonah walks towards a large monitor which monitored the animals. The scientist pulls out a wireless microphone and attaches it to his shirt. He clears his throat, in order to get the attention of the other scientists. Immediately the scientists stop in their tracks and turn to Dr. Jonah.

“I’ve been instructed to start the experiment right away. With that said lets go ahead and begin,” Dr. Jonah informed the scientists.

Many scientists started talking amongst themselves, clearly not liking what they have just been told. Some expressed resentment and some expressed uncertainty. Finally someone spoke up.

“Our research is not complete. This experiment might turn out to be extremely dangerous not only for us but for our test subjects as well. They might not survive the experiment,” the scientist argued.

The general steps up and grabs the microphone off of the shirt of Dr. Jonah. He speaks firmly and loudly into the microphone.

“Hopefully it doesn’t come to that. And if the animals die we’ll just get new ones. After all there just animal right, they are not intelligent and probably never will be,” the general says.

The scientists clearly didn’t like what the general said. Most of the scientists yelled at the general trying to get their point across to the general. Unfortunately it was as if they were talking to a brick wall. The general didn’t seem to pay any attention to them what so ever. All the general did was stand there perfectly still like a bump on a log.

“Listen, we can’t just pointlessly kill these innocent animals. They have rights you know?” a scientist yells out.

“Yeah he’s right”

“What kind of person are you?”

“You can’t do this”

“The military makes me sick”

BANG

Suddenly, everyone gets quite. Some scientists get down to the ground and cover their heads in fear. The general was standing up, his handgun pointed up at the ceiling. Smoke also protruded out the handgun like burning incense. The general suddenly shoots a couple of more times.

BANG

BANG

The sound of the handgun going off ripped through the ears of the scientists as if they were right next to a fireworks display, listening to it go off, with no protection. The echo of the ear-splitting "BANG" carried on for a good minute. The general lowers the weapon and speaks.

“I could care less about the rights of an animal. As far as I’m concerned we can use them however the heck we want. Lastly, I am your general and you will follow my commands without question. IS THAT UNDERSTOOD?” The general yells out.

The scientists stand and straighten themselves up and solute to the general. “Yes Sir,” the scientists responded in unison.

The General grins and hands the microphone over to Dr. Jonah, who was still recovering from the loud gun fire. Dr. Jonah was right next to the general at the time and there for he experienced the full extent of the sounds of the bullets ripping through his ears. He grabs the microphone and attaches it back onto his shirt. The scientist gathers himself together and speaks.

“Well now that it has settled down, shall we begin?”

The End
