First off, it's been a while! My apologies. Classes have started up and I'm still getting the hang of things. Also I came home this past weekend to watch my high school's first home football game, see friends and of course, work! No that wasn't sarcasm. I love my job.
So what's new?
Well, part of being a student here at SAU is that we get a Core group. And since I'm talking about core groups, let me give a quick shout out to core 20! You guys rock! I might as well shout out to my floor as well! Gamma 2 is amazing! Seriously the best floor ever! Haha.
Anyways, back to business.
Friday we had our first core lecture about the differences between the secular and spiritual world. Pretty interesting, especially in the areas where they overlap. My eyes opened to a fantastic realization that day after the lecture and my group and brother core, Core 19, were discussing the lecture with out instructor. Something that was brought up was the fact that God is with us wherever we go, he will never forsake us or abandon us. That wasn't the realization, just a wonderful bit of info I felt like sharing! The realization that came to me was the fact that because of that glorious knowledge, we don't have to stress out over a major.
What a relief!
Seriously, I'd spent so much time worrying about which major to choose. My summer and the last few months of my senior year of high school were terrible. I was so stressed out! Then to hear those words and realize that God is with me no matter what or where, it was amazing. One of the greatest things to happen to me since I've been here at SAU. Seriously guys, I felt like Atlas. For those of you who don't know who Atlas was, he was a titan whose punishment was to carry the weight of the sky on his back. Talk about harsh! That's what I felt like whenever I thought about a major, but that's gone now. The sky is gone! Nothing feels better than being able to breathe again after having to carry a burden so large.
