   It had been a couple of days since the woman had left bed. Her face was now withered and wrinkled, and she had suddenly aged in only a few weeks.

"Mother...I always meant to ask you. What is your name? Your given name." Alara stared deeply into the eyes of the woman that was now unrecognizeable as her mother.

"Darling, come closer. I want to, " she paused to look back into her daughter's fearful eyes. "I can't do it."

"Can't do what?"

"I can't live like this, Alara. Can you do something for me? Will you be my angel?"

"Well...what is it?" She scoffed, turning sideways but still eyeing her mother suspiciously.

"Well...can you put that powder into my cup? It helps me to digest the water."
