The next morning Dawn was woken by Amelia bustling around his room she was grabbing clothes, folding them and putting them in a bag.
“How did I get here?” Dawn yawned Amelia smiled.
“Lou carried you here.” She said Dawn nodded.
“What are you doing?” he asked sitting up she looked at him closely for a moment.
“Packing,” she replied “and I'm sorry I didn’t mean to wake you.”
“its okay” Dawn said swinging his still slightly stiff legs out of bed he winced as a single spike of pain shot though his head.
“I thought I’d pack for you Lou's is already done and he slept through the whole thing.” Dawn smiled as he tried to flatten his hair down. “I can cut that if you want?” Amelia said folding a pair of trousers.
Lou looked up as Dawn and Amelia entered the study.
“You cut your hair.” The daemon yawned as he tidied his desk.
“You look awful” Dawn frowned seeing dark shadows beneath Lou's eyes.
“I feel fine” Lou yawned again.
“Yeah, right.” Amelia growled Dawn felt magick flicker inside her and he looked at her. “How long did you sleep for?” she asked.
“A few hours.” Lou said sitting back in his chair Amelia sighed.
“You’ve got to take better care of yourself.” Amelia said pleadingly.
“I know” Lou said “but I have more important things to worry about right now.”
“They should be here at twelve.” She said knowing she wouldn’t win. Lou looked at the clock in the corner.
“An hour” he said “Amelia could I speak to you in private?” she nodded and looked at Dawn. “It’s nothing to be concerned about” Lou added looking at his son too, Dawn nodded reluctantly.
“Fine” he grumbled and headed back to his room.
“What’s wrong sire?” Amelia said Lou lifted Dawn's drawing pad and flicked it open passing it to Amelia. “Its aura” Amelia said unsure why she was looking at it.
“Look again” Lou said, Amelia took the pad from him and scanned the picture.
“There’s her, a mirror and…” she brought the pad closer to her face “oh my goddess,” she muttered “it’s him.”
“The reflection in the mirror,” Lou said.
“It is him, isn’t it?” Lou nodded
“He’s staring to remember, but its not but it’s not what he should remember first.”
“What do we do?” Amelia asked.
“We go on this little trip.” Lou said
“And you go to paradise without him knowing.” Amelia growled Lou looked at her.
“How did you know that?” Lou asked.
